I agree completely - you should call up the jail and tell them the situation (this isn't an actual jail site, it's just a site that shares information about the jail)

All you have to know is one thing...don't ever end up there. You think letting the jail know how you feel would change a damned thing? They could care less.

you are right that they dont care i was there for about 6 months just released from the hospital to be transferred to HCJ. I had been in the hosp. for 4 months prior. Anyway i was treated vey bad I had several broken bones from neck down and was still in casts. I had to be cleaned and sometimes I was left for several hours dirty and unmedicated. One time I had a pain so severe that I couldn't stop crying and I was thrown into seg. I was lucky though that my cellie had my phone number to my home and notified my family, later it was determined that I had a severe infection in one of my bones and it poisnous to my body. So dont think that you will get medical care in there because you won't it was a terrible experience. I have recently been released from prison and believe me it's no better!!!!!

Have the inmates family call the jail medical department and if at all possible, take copies of his medical records to the jail. I would also notify the chaplain's office and the medical department directly. Remember, Harris county jails have over 8,000 inmates and many of them claim medical problems in order to get attention. Sometimes people with real problems get lost in the crowd. Be polite, but call every day if necessary to make sure he receives treatment.

They wont accept medical records brought in or sent by individuals. The reords have to come from a doctor.
