How long does a felony stay on your record?

Just as I expected. My 20 yr. old son is in County and he has had no medication for 48 hrs. He is mentally ill, with a variety of problems. HIPPA prohibits jail employees from discussing with me, and I cannot find out how he is. Everyone I have ever talked to about Harris County Jail has had nothing but BAD to say about the jail. I hope no other mother ever has to go through this with their "special needs" child.

Did you ever find anyone to contact for mental illness of an inmate? I have the same problem. My son needs to see the phychiatrist about his meds and has turned in a request several days ago and has heard nothing???
